REVISIT THE 60s!!!!!!!!!!! Part One

There was a group on Good Morning America this morning - Grace Potter and the Nocturnals. I had NEVER heard of them and they have many hit CDs and are (supposedly) very popular. This made me start thinking........will Grace Potter and the Nocturnals someday be a legendary band like the Beatles or The Rolling Stones? I think not. But then again, my parents were probably equally stymied with The Beatles. Time marches on........

I am a product of the 60s - and proud of it!!!!! So, I thought it might be fun to relive some of the FUN of the sixties. Recently I received reminders of the 60s from two "Gazette" readers.

(SIDEBAR - For those of you not familiar with The Gazette, I write a weekly newsletter for our quilt shop, ThimbleCreek. You, too, can read the weekly news - go to http://www.thimblecreek.com/ to sign up!) ANYWAY, I want to relive some of my memories of the 60s with YOU!!!!!

KEEP READING my blog over the next several days....I'll visually remind you of the 60s. EVERYONE who responds with a comment will be entered in a drawing for a group of fat quarters from The French General's Rural Jardin new fabric line. I'll share pictures of the fabric later.....but you can win a NICE selection of fat quarters just by reliving the 60s with me!! I'll pick the WINNER when I'm through reminding you of the 60s!!! Probably 10 days or so....so, keep reading my blog and keep commenting so you'll have more chances to WIN the fat quarters!!!!

For TODAY....this is one of my FAVORITE singers....she had a great gravelly voice - a real rocker!! Who is she?????

NOW, STAY TUNED......tune in tomorrow for more 60s FUN!!!!!
