To celebrate the launching of the Piece by Piece blog, I am starting a new "Civil War Fat Quarter Club". This is a 12 month program. Every month you'll receive 4 Civil War fat quarters and a F R E E pattern. The plan is to make four blocks of each pattern every month. There will be alternate blocks that will pull it all together with a "chain." You'll need a background fabric - I am using a cream solid. All blocks are 6" and your finished quilt will be approximately 60" x 72". Join me and we'll make this awesome quilt together!!!

ReplyDeleteCongrats on the new blog! I have visited Thimble Creek quite a few times! In fact when I was in almost a couple of years ago looking for Heather Bailey fabric I didn't even know what a blog was. lol. The ladies in T.C told be I HAD to check out Heather Bailey's blog and even wrote down the address for me. Well they were right I was hooked and even started my own blog after that and because of my blog I am now designing bags and baby products for The Peanut Shell a big baby company. Hopefully you mention as you get new fabric lines in so I can have an excuse to make the drive from Livermore! :)

Hey Joe,
ReplyDeleteWell congrats, so glad you have a blog. Love it.
I will add your blog to my blog as a site of interest. Have you thought of starting a blog ring
to link to other blog sites. That is a good way
to increase your contacts. Moda has quite a few
blog sites, Minik and Simpson, Fig Tree, also Bunny
Hill, PamKittyMorning are professional sites.
On another note this is a great way to visit Thimble Creek without the freeway.
Sew Love wherever you go
L.
Glad to get more of Joe! I'm referring Pat to your blog, and a few other friends too.
ReplyDeleteWow - Joe, congratulations in jumping in the blogging world with both feet! Yes, hopefully the quilters will link their blogs to yours as well to get more traffic to your site. Love your energy and enthusiasm. I have referred my friend Jill, so enter me to win.

Congratulations on your new Blog, not sure what a
ReplyDeleteBlog is, but congratulations anyway. I am guessing it a site for people to talk to one another.
I have been getting you newsletters for some time now and really enjoy them.
I am "new" to quilting, really really new!
Still have not gone to your shop as I am not sure what I would be looking for or what the difference is in the fabrics you speak of.
I do sew and did hand quilt (the part I like the best) once, but have never pieced anything and there lies the fear for me. I can't ever find the time to take quilt classes what with work and my 5yr old.
Every single person I have ever met that quilts
has always been soooo nice and supportive, even
inviting me to quilting guild meetings, where i would really feel like a fish out of water.
So I will be checking in here often and maybe
i will pick up some information to help me on
my way.
Thanks
Welcome to the world of blogging! Your page looks fab. Looking forward to following it!
ReplyDeleteHi Joe! My dear friend Lizzie (quilting in the state of my nativity) sent me this link. I am thrilled you are going to blog! I met you and your wife at PIQF last fall. I will be anxiously awaiting your posts. I wish you all the best in bloggy land. The East Bay certainly has a vortex of great quilters and I know your shop keeps that going! Pam in Chico
